Eden was born telling stories. Well, not literally born telling stories. That would've been strange. But as soon as she could read and write, she was joining words with ink to spin a tale. I believe one of her earliest stories was about an ant queen. She was only six, so don't judge her too hard. And the publishing house she used back then was the glamorous sort consisting of construction paper, glitter, googly eyes, and pipe cleaners, all found in a dark cupboard of her elementary school cafeteria.
By the time she was in high school, she knew language arts was her favorite subject. As a part of an advanced creative writing class she took, she wrote her first novel. It was a sappy high school drama about a runner named Charlotte, who went by Charlie since tom-boy was more her style, and how she faced the horrifying news that her mother had cancer. There was plenty of stomach flip-flopping flirting in it too since Eden loves sweet, innocent romances.
Eden left her childhood home in Ohio to attend Brigham Young University in Utah. She got a BA in English Teaching to pass on her love of words to the poor misguided teenagers who prefer video games over novels. But what she loved best were the classes for her Creative Writing minor. It was there she started dedicating time to take her writing from leisurely fun to a professional career.
Before graduating, Eden attended the BYU Jerusalem Center in Israel where she met her husband, another student on the program. After they married, they moved out of state so he could attend grad school. They now have two beautiful little girls. Eden is a full-time mother and a nap-time writer. Unless of course one of them refuses to nap, in which case she's a you-watch-Daniel-Tiger-while-I-catch-up-on-writing type of writer.
Eden loves gooey chocolate chip cookies. If you wanted to make her some, she wouldn't refuse. She also enjoys running, ultimate frisbee, soccer, board games, and netflix. And is it even necessary to say she loves to read?
